We all have seen moments of glory and devastation in sports. All sports are a contest to test one's skill and cooperation with teammates. Losing at any game in which the whole world is watching and expecting you to conquer an opponent must bring many strong emotions out including:

• Great destruction to one's ego
• Poor self-image
• Feelings of failure 
• Heartbreaking sadness and dismay

Winning such a competition brings elation to the team, team mates, coaches, and any fans supporting the game. So how far do these celebratory gestures, actions, and other sportsmanship affairs go?

Codes of Conduct

There are codes of conduct within sports both written and unwritten. Unsportsman-like gestures are a big “no-no” in sports games. Disrespectful body language, profanity, and cheating are all considered big violations in organized athletics. 

When a team wins a game or scores a point in a game, it’s an offense to over celebrate a score or point and a team could be penalized. In the world of sports anything can happen. 

Here are some of the top ten pause moments in sports that shows everything from cheating and getting away with it, to the weirdest things that you might imagine. Sporting events move rapidly and it can be difficult to catch a glimpse of something outrageous and you may have to freeze the television screen because you just can’t believe what just occurred.

Is this some kind of secret tradition after every football game and we are just now finding out about it? Wow! What's really going on here? The Saints and 49ers coaches get a little bit too close and even kiss on live TV. What in the world they were thinking? Maybe they weren’t.

Seems like a virus going around making guys kiss other guys during sporting events. There is already suspicion of Tim Tebow having secret sexual tendencies for other males. This just proves something is seriously wrong in the game of football, especially for those playing on Tebow’s team.

Imagine Percy Harvin running up behind you and having one of his huge football grabbing hands grab your gluteus maxims. You turn around and see the giant man standing before you with a huge grin on his face. Maybe contact sports now days are really subliminally sexual.

It couldn’t get any better than this. We thought Ana Ivanovic, Nicole Vaidisova, Tatiana Golovin, Jelena Jankovic, and Maria Sharapova were some of the hottest tennis players out there. Then out of the blue comes Venus Williams with sexy apparel that will have guys around the world at the edge of their seat actually paying attention to the game.

It Sounds Jayson Terry said something without even knowing that he said it. Perhaps he is associating the game with something else, something only serious (ball) players would say. “We gotta penetrate their bigs, get deep, suck the D in.” Sounds kind of sketchy and could be taken out of context, but he damn sure is a great ball player.

Washington Wizards John Wall was rudely interrupted during his interview. In the background one of the reporters let out a small squeal of flatulence. Watch the awkward look on Wall’s face for a split second  before he goes back to his interview. Little did he know the reporter had plans for a second round of vapors.

While playing for the Cleveland Cavilers, LeBron James comes back out from the locker room with the bottom of his pants half buttoned from the top down. While Anderson Varejao was occupied by the game, James comes up to the bench, sits down, and lets one rip. While Varejao’s busy looking around the foul smell hits his nose and the look on his face is priceless.

I'd love to know the thoughts going through this kid's head before you see the baseball coming into the picture. If only he put his glove up a bit higher, the ball would have safely landed in his mitt instead of his face. Other than a broken nose he might have to buy another hat, poor kid.

All kinds of animals are curious including birds. Most birds are often too curious and want to investigate. This bird's nosiness took him a bit too far and it was struck by the yellow sphere. Andre Agassi took this as a sign of bad luck and says a little prayer for the poor bird and continues on with the game.
